Description

If you're looking for an entry into the world of medium format cameras, then the Fujifilm GFX50S II is a great camera to start with since it's the cheapest of the 50 MP medium format cameras from Fujifilm. But for the price, you don't have to sacrifice image quality and features. The GFX50S II includes 60 points of weather sealing to resist dust and moisture. It has an excellent 6.5 stop in body image stabilization.

The GFX50S II's 43.8mm x 32.9mm sensor has larger pixels than a 50 MP full frame sensor, which means more data is captured per pixel to have better noise reduction and higher dynamic range.

Pros:

  • Dual tilting LCD display lets you easily shoot in landscape or portrait orientation.
  • Best price for a medium format camera
  • The 6.5 stops of in body image stabilization allows you to take sharp images while handholding the camera.
  • Includes a secondary monitor to display shooting information.

Cons:

  • Does not record 4k video
  • Exposure compensation is hard to perform
  • Has a slower continuous shooting speed so would not perform well for fast action photography such as sports photography
