Description

An update to Sony's initial dedicated vlogging camera, the ZV-1, the ZV-E10 is more robust as an interchangeable lens camera. The camera body is still lightweight and portable for you to easily take out and record your vlogs.

The Background Defocus button lets you easily blur the background without having to know about things like aperture settings. The Product Showcase feature makes the camera automatically switch focus between your face and a product that you hold up to the camera.

Video features on the  ZV-E10 are excellent. It provides for the ability to create quick and slow motion videos. The continuous recording limit is a whopping 13 hours compared to the more traditional 29 minute limit. Easily connect your camera to your computer with a USB cable to enable live streaming to your computer with no extra hardware or software needed.

Similar cameras to consider include the: Sony ZV-1, Fujifilm X-T200, Canon EOS M50 II, and the Sony a6100. But the ZV-E10 has the longest battery life of the bunch.

Pros:

  • Lightweight and portable
  • Tripod mount is away from memory card/battery compartment so you don't need to remove accessories when changing out the battery/memory card.
  • Battery life is longer than the Sony ZV-1.
  • Easy streaming to computer
  • Comes in white and black color options

Cons:

  • May overheat quickly
  • USB Stream Mode limited to 720p
  • No viewfinder for taking photos
  • Difficult to switch shooting modes but this can be overcome by assigning the shooting mode toggle to a function button
